Role Overview
As a Concrete Superintendent, you’ll lead the on-site execution of concrete construction projects. You’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising crews to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of concrete construction projects from start to finish.
- Supervise and support concrete crews and subcontractors, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure work meets project specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations.
- Coordinate material deliveries and manage inventory to avoid delays.
- Serve as the main point of contact for project managers, engineers, architects, and clients.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce site safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, change orders, and progress updates.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in concrete construction supervision.
- Strong knowledge of concrete methods, materials, and safety practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Products. Experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid) is a plus.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Education: An associate or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred—but if you bring strong, hands-on experience and a solid track record, we’re happy to consider that in place of formal education.
Work Environment
- Field-based role with travel to various job sites.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Adaptability to changing project needs is essential.
